ESM Hockey Club appoints new Director of Hockey

ESM Hockey Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Richard Wright as our Director of Hockey for the season 2020-21. Richard has an impressive record of domestic and international hockey, a wealth of coaching and umpiring experience and a real passion for hockey, alongside many years of professional and commercial experience.

"I'm really looking forward to working with Richard in this new role. His enthusiasm for hockey is infectious and he is just what the Club needs at this key stage in its development."

The appointment of a Director of Hockey marks a key milestone in the growth and progression of ESM Hockey Club. Rich will work alongside our Development Committee to coordinate and develop our hockey provision across the whole Club, to inspire us to reach the next level of excellence. He will also be working to establish an outreach programme to introduce hockey to local primary schools.

During his six years at the hockey club, Richard has coached our Men’s, Ladies’ and Youth sides and we are delighted that he will also be returning to the Youth Section as U14 Lead Coach for the coming season.
