The first weekend of February starts to finally bring longer days, but still terrible weather and of course, the start of the 6 Nations Rugby.
The Men’s 2s and 3s have big weekends ahead for very different reasons.
The 2s are hosting the league leading Edinburgh University 4s at home, so this is a must win game to remain in contention for the league.
While the 3s are in a bottom of the table clash with Watsons. If the 3s are going to move out of the relegation zone they need to start putting some results together, and fellow struggling team Watson’s should be a good starting point.
The Ladies 3s have a tough away trip to league leaders Peebles to try and find their first win.
The Men’s 1s have a friendly on Sunday versus Grange, with the league starting up next weekend, they need are trialing a few new players to see if they can kick start the season.

Easter Hockey Camps
Our youth club is running the very popular Easter camps again in April to please check out our Easter Hockey Camps page for details and for the download of the application form.
We had a great time at the bowling last week although the winners were a bit controversial as we ran out of time. But it was good to see people out and getting to know others that aren’t in their teams.
With the 6 Nations starting this weekend, they will be people back at the clubhouse if you don’t have tickets to the game. Then on wards to the Wally Dug….
Good luck to MES 1st XI who are in the School Cup Final against Fettes. They are playing on Monday February 8th at 4:15pm on the Edinburgh Accies pitch. Featuring ESM’s very own Kat Kuterebra and Jo Duthie, so get on down to support if you can!!
